Our Story

Buddyz began four years ago with one fur baby and a very confident “we’ve got this.”

 

Spoiler alert: we did not, in fact, have this.

 

Like most new pet parents, we quickly found ourselves deep in the world of pet products — toys, leads, collars, grooming products, food, health care, and pet-friendly travel. From motels and hotels to domestic and international flights (airports included), we’ve pretty much tested it all.

 

Some products were great.

Others didn’t survive the week.

 

After years of trial and error (and more pet-related overspending than we’d like to admit), we learned what actually works — and what’s just good marketing.

 

That’s why Buddyz exists.

 

We’ve brought all that experience together to create a trusted, one-stop shop for New Zealand pet owners. A place where you can find quality pet products and services that are thoughtfully chosen, focused on sustainability, and support New Zealand businesses wherever possible.

 

Because being a pet parent shouldn’t feel overwhelming — and you shouldn’t have to learn the hard way like we did.
